People always want to know if there's prizes, and the answer is yes. There is going to be a raffle of all of the winners. And all emails are going to be entered into a raffle with a bunch of different prizes. Additionally, we have a couple joke books sponsored by Mosaica Press, which are going to be mailed out to a few more lucky winners. We call this Road Trip Trivia because it's really fun to play in the car. There's a lot of traveling that happens on Holomoid. People are going from one place to another. And we've done this last year over Pesaach. It was so much fun. And people are literally listening to that episode over and over and over again. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. We need new content. If you're new here, be sure to check out our most recent episode, which was released a couple days ago on Arab Success, which was actually about Simchastora candy. We got perspectives of three different people: the kid, the dentist, and the candyman. So be sure to check it out on Holomoid if you haven't already yet. So when you finish this game, if you're still in the car, go back and enjoy that episode as well. Okay, and now for the game show. All you're gonna need is a pen, a paper, somehow to keep track of your answers, and some really awesome team spirit. While we're playing the game live in our studio, you are gonna be playing the game live in your car and following along question by question with us. There are going to be two rounds, 10 questions in each round, and I hope you feel challenged. I hope you learn new things, and I hope you stretch your brain to be creative with your answers. So, who's ready to play? Game on. Here we are live in the Incredible Kids Podcast Studio. And I am here with some really excited kids who are super prepared for Sucus. They learned a lot in school, and today we're gonna see how prepared they really are. So I'm gonna give you each a second to say your name so our listeners can get to know our contestants today in that incredible kids trivia holomoid game show. Here we go.

SPEAKER_01:

Hi, I'm Emma. Hi, I'm Devorah. Hi, I'm Talia. Hi, I'm Ahuva. Hi, I'm Becca. Hi, I'm Leora.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, now the kids here decided that they want to be divided by friends. So Emma and Devorah.

unknown:

Woo!

SPEAKER_02:

Versus Talia, Ahuva, Becca, and Leora. Woo! Okay, let's see if your strength and numbers and your strength and volume of your woos is going to win out the big kids. Each of you, I want you to think of names of your team. If you're listening in the car right now, make a team name for your family. If you want to divide into teams in your car, that's one thing. If your whole car wants to act on the same team, that is a really good idea. Think of a good creative name. Probably should have something to do with success, but that's up to you. Let's announce the name of our teams over here in the Incredible Kids Studio. So our first team Team Lula! And you are? Isaca! Game on. We are going to start with the first round. I'm going to ask a question. You will have a few seconds to discuss the answer. And kids in the car, after I say the question two times, you are going to hear a little bit of music. And while the music is playing, that's a good time for you to think. To think exactly, and to talk about what you think the answer is. Write it down somewhere. Okay, so question the queen in. Who's first? Should we flip a coin? No. Yes, yes. I don't have any coins on me. Question number one. What are the shalosh regalim? Shalosh regalim. What are the shalosh regalim? Your hint is that shalosh means three. What do you like to say? Let's go over to Team Lulav.

SPEAKER_01:

Sukakis, Pesach and Shavuas.

SPEAKER_02:

If you didn't learn it, that's okay because you're learning it right here, right now. Pesach, Shavuas, and Sukkas are three Yamim Tovim that in the time of the Besha Mikdash, we are going to be able to go to the Besha Mikdash during those Yamim Tovim and have a really special experience there. Shalosh Ragalim.

SPEAKER_04:

We're going to shalai the Beta Mikdash.

SPEAKER_02:

Give yourself a point if you got all three. Question number two. For an S rogue to be a good kosher S rogue, which part of the S rogue cannot fall off? Which part of the S rogue cannot fall off? If you don't know what it's called, describe what you think it is. And of course you can guess. Team Lulove, what's your answer? The stem on the bottom. Okay, what was your answer? The bottom. No, we wrote the side. The correct answer is called the pitum. The pitum is the stem of the es rogue. And if you get an es rogue that comes with the pitum on it, if you have any like boys in the family that hock about es rogues, you'll know that like, don't touch the pitum. Oh, I got one with the pitum. I got one without the pitum. If you got it with that little stem on it, you gotta be careful that it doesn't crack off. Because if it does crack off during success, then you can't use that es rogue. It's hussle. If you wrote stem or you wrote pitum, give yourself one point. Now you know it's called the pitum. Everyone say pitum.

unknown:

Pitum!

SPEAKER_02:

Question number three. How many days is succus? How many days do we sit in the suka? Team sukah, what's the answer? Seven. How do you know it was seven? Because I learned. Where did you learn that? At school. That's awesome. Did you get seven also? Okay, one point if you know that the Torah tells usukos te shvu shivas yamim. So the mitzvah in the Torah about sitting in your sukah and having the mitzvah of sukkah is a seven-day mitzvah. Question number four. Can you list all of the Ushbizin guests? Ushbizin are seven guests that are rooted from the Torah. Seven guests who are not alive anymore, not like your grandma and grandpa. Please don't write grandma and grandpa, because they're not the Ushizan. Seven guests who visit the Sukkah on the seven days. That's why I said the seven question first. So on each of the seven days, a different special guest visits our sukhah. And can you list all of those seven special people from the Torah? You are actually going to get a half a point for each one that you know. So write as many as you know. I'll start you off. The first one is Avraham. Are we ready? I want you to shout them out one at a time. So each team is gonna rotate here. Abraham! Great! Yetzhaq, Yakov! Nice, Becca. Yosef.

SPEAKER_01:

Yesra.

SPEAKER_02:

Moshe. David. Aaron. Abraham, Yetzrach, Yakov, Yosef, Moshe, Aaron, David. If you got all of those seven, that is fantastic. I want you to do some math here and give yourself half of a point for each one. That means that if you got all seven, how many points should you have? Three and a half. That's right. Three and a half points would be the total if you got all of them. Question number five. What do you call it when you go on yantif and visit different people's sukkas and sometimes ask for candy? What do you call that tradition? One more time. What do you call it when you go from sukkah to sukkah on yantif to visit different people's sukkas? If you said sucka hopping, give yourself one point. And that brings us to question six. In which country are most esrogim grown? Es rogues grow in warm tropical climates. Can you guess which country there are the most esrogim grown? Es rogue trees. Okay, your answers, please. Israel. Japan. Those are some real good guesses. Now it happens to be Israel was a good guess because Israel does grow S rogue trees, but the place that grows the most S rogue trees, believe it or not, no, Florida's not a country, but Florida is nice and warm too. The place that grows the most S rogue trees is Italy. And every year, thousands of rabbis go there to pick a beautiful S rogue for succus. So if you got the answer Italy right, please give yourself one point. Number seven. What bracha do you make on gum in the sukah? This is a joke. If you know the answer, write it down. It's a joke. So don't write shahacl. What bracha do you make on gum in the suka?

SPEAKER_01:

It's really hard. The answer is Lee Shave Bazooka.

SPEAKER_02:

That's right, Lee Shave Bazooka. It's funny, come on. Instead of Lee Shave Bazooka, like you usually say, sitting in the suka. Yeah, bazooka, like bazooka zuka bubbagum.

SPEAKER_01:

Bazooka zuka bubbagum. Bazooka zuka babam.

SPEAKER_02:

Lee shave bazooka.

SPEAKER_00:

Asha kidish no, bimis voice off. Vitivanu le shave bazuoka.

SPEAKER_02:

Back to business. Number eight. Which animal eats the most bamboo? Which animal eats the most bamboo?

SPEAKER_01:

A panda bear. What did you guys get?

unknown:

Panda!

SPEAKER_02:

That's right, pandas. Do you guys know what country pandas live in? Japan. Not Japan. China! That's right. China. Panda bears are from China and they eat tons of bamboo. In fact, there's other animals that also eat bamboo. Pandas, most of the things they eat are from bamboo. Do you know how much bamboo they eat a day? 20 to 40 pounds of bamboo every single day. They mostly eat like the shoots and the leaves that grow out of the sides. But why do you think I'm asking you about bamboo? Because you put bamboo as schach on your sukah. That's right, because schach needs to be made out of natural materials, and bamboo is like a nice straight beam that goes across the top of your sukah. How much point? Okay, one point if you knew about pandas, that they eat tons of bamboo. Can we get another half? Exactly. You will always have halves until you get another half, and then that makes a hole. Question nine. What is a schlock? What is a schlock?

SPEAKER_01:

I don't even know!

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, guess, guess. What is a schlock? It has something to do with a sukkah. Something that people need for their sukkah sometimes. Some people build a schlock for their sukkah, and it helps them with a problem that they might have during sukkus. Okay, let's have our first guest from Team Sukkah.

SPEAKER_01:

A piece that makes no rain or wind come in. Okay, and what's your guess? What do you think a schlock is? Something like under the schlach to keep rain from like falling in and getting everything like gross.

SPEAKER_02:

Wow, you guys both had really good answers. A schlock is something that you can build on your sukkah that covers the whole thing when it rains. So that you don't have like dripping water on your food for the next like day after it rains. So you both I feel like you got half a point, right? I think each of you should get half a point. It kind of sounds like a Shayna coat. Well, yeah, well, a Shayna coat also kind of helps you in the rain, so it's actually a good guess. You know, because like a Shayna coat covers, it's like a Shayna coat is actually like schlock for a person. You want to wear your hat underneath, like you literally put it on top of your whole dress up Shabbos thing, exactly. So a schlok is like a raincoat for your sukkah. Question number 10. How many succus-related words start with the letter L or Lamid? Lala. List as many succus words as you can that start with an L, lalala, or a Lamid. Good. Letter L or Lamid words that have to do with such. Let's start with your team. Go.

SPEAKER_01:

Lula! Laminated projects! I love that one! Lacey Basoka! Yes! Lakshan Kaga. Mmm, Lakshankagle. Laying down. Wow. Lemons, because it's kind of like kind of like an asteroid, like a lamp. That's right. Or lights, right? Right.

SPEAKER_02:

Lentil soup. Oh, interesting.

SPEAKER_01:

Lollipop! Yum! Licorice! Licks!

SPEAKER_02:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

Lemonade!

SPEAKER_02:

Especially on a hot suka day, you might want to have some lemonade.

SPEAKER_01:

Lips! Sour lip. Lips.

SPEAKER_02:

Like you actually bring your lips to the sucka. Right. Also your legs. And your liver. I was thinking that. Okay. Each one is a half a point. Oh, another one of those. That's so annoying, Mowitsiri. Half a point, count them up, count them up, count them up. Count up all of your points from all of the questions. How many? 15 and a half. Fifteen and a half points for Team Lula. 13 and Team Sokka has 13 points. That was a super close game. High fives with your friends. High fives. Over here, just to make it exciting in our studio, we mixed up the teams a little bit. So now it's family versus family. So we have the Price family versus the Artman family. And I'm gonna give them a second to rename their teams if they so wish. Our teams are team one. Spaghetti sukah. Spaghetti sukkah again. Succus sleepers. Sukkus sleepers. Okay, yeah, that's a mitzvah. Sleep in the sucka. Let's begin. So, round two, question one. Remember to jot down these answers, and when you hear the music, that's your chance to discuss it and write it down. Don to done. Here we go. Number one, what is the experience of being inside of the sukkah, surrounded on all sides, supposed to remind us of? It's supposed to remind us of something that happened many years ago written in the Torah. What is being in the sukkah supposed to remind us of to remind us of the walls of the basemikdash. Let's hear what your answer is. Mishkan. Very similar guesses. You say basemakdash, you say Mishkan, but the correct answer is the experience of being inside of the soqah is supposed to remind us of the protection that we had from Hashem when we were in the midbar and we were traveling. There was anane haqqavod, the seven clouds that were protecting the Jews on all sides. If you said ananehakavod, give yourself one point. Or if you said traveling in the midbar, either of those would be one point. Question number two. Which body part is the Luluv connected to? So the Luluv, the Esrog, the Hadasim, and the Aravos are each connected to another part of our body. Which part of Zalulov? Think about it. What does a Lulove look like? It's tall, it's straight. Yes. Team Spaghetti Sucka, do you want to say your answer?

SPEAKER_01:

Spine.

SPEAKER_02:

The spine. The spine is your back, your backbone, right? All those vertebrae in your back, the long, tall part of your back is called the spine, and that really makes sense. Is that what you got too? We got your leg. Hmm. So that is not the right answer, but I see where you're going with this, because you did take the hint of something long and tall and skinny. If you have skinny legs. But the correct answer is your spine. Okay, let's keep moving. Question number three. They say our chamim talas that you have never seen true happiness if you never have been to this event. During the time of the Besha Mikdash, there was a special, not um, that's a lot of fun, but that wasn't during the time of the Besha Mikdash. What was this event called? Hint, it has to do with water. What is this event called? And they say it's the happiest event everyone.

SPEAKER_01:

Any gases here? You just said it perfectly.

SPEAKER_02:

Kiss your brain. How did you know that? I don't know. Simcha's besa show eva. You don't understand. This was supposed to be the most joyous thing ever, and apparently, if you think you know what happiness is, you don't until you've been to the Simcha's Besa Shoeva. I hope Mashiach comes soon so I can experience that kind of happiness. Of course, one whole point. If you knew some chat beast has show Eva. Moving right along. Question four. Now that the first days of Yantif are over, you guys got to see a lot of sukkas, hopefully, right? If you were living in a place with good weather, you maybe even went sukka hopping, which is the funnest thing ever. Tell me, from all the sukkas you saw, can you list as many materials that you saw that sukkah walls are made out of? As many different types of sukkah walls that you can think of that you've seen or that you heard of the Since you probably each have a bunch of answers, we're gonna just shout them out from each team. So let's start with Team Sukkah sleepers.

SPEAKER_01:

Metal, plastic, wood, brick, canvas, glass, plastic brick, plexi glass, lego. Wow, you guys saw all different types of sukas.

SPEAKER_02:

Leather. Leather, okay. So these are different materials. For every material sukkah that you were able to write down, give yourself a half a point. Count them up. Question number five. In Eratisrael and in the rest of the world, sukkis is for different amounts of days. What is the difference between sukkis in Eratisral in Israel and sukkis in the rest of the world? Which we call Chutzla Arat. That means America, England, Australia, everywhere else besides Israel. China, right? We keep talking about China. So what's the difference between celebrating sukas in Israel and celebrating sukkus in the rest of the world? Let's hear your guesses or if you actually know.

SPEAKER_01:

Let's see. Israel is seven days and like the rest of the world is eight. Okay, what do you have to say? Israel is more holy than the rest of the world.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, both of you have very smart answers, but here's the answer that I was looking for. The answer that I was looking for, of course, Israel is holier than the rest of the world, but that's not doesn't make the laws of keeping sukkas any different. And sukkus is seven days in both Israel and in America. The difference is that in Israel you only celebrate one day of sukkus in the beginning, where we have two days, they only have one day. And then when it's the very end, when we got up to Simchas Torah and Shminy Antsaras, in Israel that's one day, and in America, we have two different days, Shminy Atsaras and then Simchas Torah. But it's not actually such. That part is Shminy Antzeras and Semchas Torah. If you got the answer that I was looking for, you can give yourself one whole point. We are up to question number six. What is the least amount of walls that you can have for your kosher sukkah? The least amount of walls that you can have for your sukkah to be considered kosher. Okay, we're ready for answers. Who thinks they know? Either three or two and a half. Okay, the answer is the least. So the least would be two and a half. You got it. If you said two and a half, that is the least amount possible. That makes a kosher sukker. So two whole walls and then a part of a third.

SPEAKER_01:

Two and a half.

SPEAKER_02:

Two and a half, you got it. Two and a half quarters. Two and a half, you got it. Okay. Of course, you'd probably like to have a four-walled sucker, but in order for it to be according to halacha, a good sukker, two and a half would be the way to go. Question number seven. This is gonna be a little bit of a guess, but I want creativity in your guesses if you have to guess. Now we know that an es rogue kind of looks like a lemon and it's a citrus fruit that comes from a tree, right? But what does the word es rogue really mean? What does the word es rogue really mean? And the answer has nothing to do with a citrus fruit or lemon or anything like that. Your best guess of what es rogue actually means in the Hebrew language. That's a throwback from the basic episode. Let's get a real guess going. Like a circular like type of thing. Something round and circular, that's a good guess. Do you have a guess? Like a chain or a lynx. Who wants to know the answer? Me! The answer is esrogue means beauty. And I guess it makes sense because an S rogue is a beautiful fruit. And it's also very special to beautify the mitzvah, Hidzur mitzvah, making the mitzvah beautiful. So it actually sounds like a really nice connection. Es rogue is beauty. Now you know something new. Question number eight. This is gonna be another listing one. Can you think of as many sukkah decorations that you've seen in many sukas as possible? Go list them up. How many sukkah decorations do you know about everybody around here? Let's see what you came up with. How many suka decorations do you know about?

SPEAKER_01:

Like big rabbis, chains, yerushalayan pictures, glass art, family pictures, murals of Yerushalayan, fruits, projects, coloring sheets, fake flowers, plastic bulbs with light bulbs in them, fairy lights, chains with fruits on it. Like chains that like go down, like purple ones or like all different colors. Like the shiny ones. Like the kind that you buy at Amazing Savings?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Laminated pictures. Wow, you guys thought of so many different types of sukkah decorations. There are so many beautiful ways to make your sukkah beautiful. Cand up all the things that you thought of and give yourself a half a point for each. So, like let's say you got 10, then you would get five points. We have two more questions. Question number nine. Which Megillah do we read on Shab is Khal Hamoid? Which Megillah do we read in Shoal on Shabbas Khal Hamoid? Megillahs something.

SPEAKER_01:

Megillasas. Megelas Yona. Megillas Russ. Megelas Kana.

SPEAKER_02:

I'll give you a hint. It starts with Ko.

SPEAKER_01:

Megillas Ko'reh.

SPEAKER_02:

Megalas Kohalas. That's right, Megalas Kohales. It's not like the type of Megillah that for some reason is popular with teaching in school, so it's not as commonly known, but Megilas Koheles is a Megilla that is read in Shul over Sucus on Shabaskal Hamoid. And this year, actually, it's going to be read on Shminy Atsaras since we don't have a Shabbas Khalamoid this year. Of course, if you got Megalas Kohalas, give yourself a point. And now we're up to the very last question. For question 10, I want you to think of all of the songs that people sing in the sukkah on sukkis. For example, on Rosh Hashanah, you would sing Dip the Apple and the Honey. And on Pesach, you would sing Avadem Hayinu and Vihisha Amda. So on Sukhis, what are some songs that you would sing at the suuda? Okay, let's hear what songs people might sing in their sukah or relate it to sukkus. Sukkus songs, let's go. Kawamar. Kaamar Hashem. That is a beautiful song to sing.

SPEAKER_01:

Yava Viavo. The world to come.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, very name.

SPEAKER_01:

Yay shahem.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't know if that's related to sukkus, but I appreciate the Zusha reference.

SPEAKER_01:

Bing bing bing. Hammer, hammer, hammer. Almost here. Yeah. Take a shower.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, composed on the spot. Shake a shake a we love. I think what we're getting out of this is that there desperately needs to be more suka songs. Yes. Like it sounds like there are songs for almost every Yantif, but for some reason the Sukha songs that we're getting are quite a stretch of our imagination. Although Miami Boy Squire Ya Leviavo, I feel like a lot of people sing, but like we need some more. We need some more variety. So any singers out there who are listening, please, please work on some new success material for us. You heard that, Mordecai Shapiro. They're cheering for you. So count up all your points and let's see in our Incredible Kids studio who is the winner of this round. Is it going to be this team or this team? A half a point for each song. Team Spaghetti Suka, what is your final score? 14 points. And what is your final score for this round? 13 and a half. 13 and a half for team Suka Sleepers. Now, kids at home, add your score from the first round and the second round together. If you got 10 points in the first round and 15 points in the second round, you would have 25 points. So then I want you to send your team name for your family and your score to where are we sending it to everyone?
